Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber for full-time, non-exempt work in Ohio. This role involves trimming and removing trees, operating and maintaining tools, and handling debris with safety as a priority.

Typical duties include loading trucks, guiding brush into chippers, and assisting with training new hires. A driver’s license is preferred, and a strong ability to work at heights is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb and work from ladders at various heights.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operates and services all required tools and equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush and debris into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns, fences and walkways.
• Services gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, and operates trucks.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean and orderly.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Sets up barriers and warning signs.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
• Assists in training new employees.
