Job summary

Asplundh Careers is hiring for a Trimmer/Climber at entry level and skilled levels. On-the-job training is provided in the line clearance industry, ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors. Our crews trim, top, and reshape trees to clear powerlines and work in all weather conditions.

The role is full-time, non-exempt with hourly pay. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, life and disability insurance, and employee assistance programs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Walk, climb and work from ladders or at various heights in rough weather while handling equipment or material.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into pieces.
• Sprays areas to prevent regrowth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush into a woodchipper.
• Inspects and maintains tools and equipment.
• Directs traffic and signals when needed.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards.
