Qualifications

• Proven outdoor work experience with horticulture/dendrology knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with bucket trucks, chainsaws, rigging, and tree care tools.
• Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for safe removal and pruning.
• GIS familiarity for landscape planning or asset management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other tree care equipment to perform pruning, trimming, and removal of trees.
• Use arborist rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or entire trees during removal or maintenance projects.
• Conduct plant pruning care to promote healthy growth and improve tree structure.
• Apply tree trimming techniques that adhere to safety protocols and industry standards for tree health.
• Perform tree removal operations with precision, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding landscapes and structures.
• Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and conditions.
• Maintain safety standards by following all safety protocols during outdoor work activities, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of horticulture, dendrology (the study of trees), and landscape maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with bucket trucks, chainsaws, rigging, and other tree care tools.
• Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for safe tree removal and pruning.
• Familiarity with GIS applications for landscape planning or asset management is a plus.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting heavy loads, and working at heights safely.
• Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of outdoor work.
• Growing experience in horticulture or landscaping is desirable; certification in arboriculture or related fields is advantageous.
