Job summary

Marders in the Hamptons is seeking a Tree and Shrub Retail Sales Specialist who loves plants and helping customers. You will assist clients in selecting trees and shrubs, provide expert care and maintenance advice, and help close sales while ensuring a high standard of service.

Weekend and holiday availability is required; knowledge of soils, fertilizers, planting zones, and general plant health is essential. Prior sales experience in landscaping or horticulture is a plus.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Tree and Shrub Retail Sales Specialist to join our team.

Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and landscaping, along with excellent communication and customer service skills. As a Tree and Shrub Retail Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right trees and shrubs for their needs, providing expert advice on care and maintenance, and closing sales transactions. A general knowledge of trees and shrubs and their proper care, health, and planting zone is required. Knowledge of proper soils and fertilizers and how to recommend them to clients is also required. We are looking for an individual to sell trees and shrubs, assist with annual & perennial sales and tag sweeps as needed by the tree buyer. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Expertise and passion in generating sales is important.
