Job Description

The General Tree Care Team forms the core of our operations, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality tree care that maintains and improves the health of our clients' landscapes. Team members work outdoors, visiting properties within their community, applying their expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety to ensure landscape health.

The Tree Service Crew Lead/Foreman role is a specialized position for individuals demonstrating leadership qualities, approved by local management to direct a work crew. Key knowledge areas include: TCIA Crew Leader Training, Crew and Personal Safety, hazard recognition, and competency in checking off levels below.

This position offers up to $35 per hour, depending on experience, along with paid PTO, benefits, and a 401K plan.

Daily Responsibilities

Working as part of a crew, providing high-quality tree care, including pruning, removals, and cable bracing. Operating equipment safely and delivering excellent customer service are essential components of the role.

Candidate Qualifications

• Experience in proper pruning practices for large shade trees and ornamentals
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species
• Climbing ability without spurs
• Knowledge of tree care safety standards
• Practical skills with chainsaws and equipment
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket trucks)
• Understanding of safety policies, hazard identification, and proper pruning techniques
• Competence in using climbing gear and tools, applying ANSI standards

Essential Requirements

• 2-5 years of tree care or climbing experience
• Leadership experience in guiding a tree care team
• Desire to work outdoors
• Valid U.S. driver's license; CDL A/B is a plus or willingness to obtain
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
