Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to oversee daily crew operations, coordinate field work, and enforce safety protocols on job sites. You will mentor employees, handle training, and ensure timely completion of assignments with respect to customer needs and DOT requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage field logistics, access permissions, and incident reporting while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and adapt to field requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plans and assigns daily crew work after receiving orders from a supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new/ revised units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policy; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access, power interruption issues with property owners/customers; refers complex cases to supervisor.
• Obtains oral/written permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintains customer relations through effective completion of work and crew behavior.
• Investigates minor incidents and damage claims as delegated by supervisor.
• Keeps accurate records, timesheets, and reports on crew performance.
• Controls crew costs and efficient use of people, methods, and equipment.
• Produces reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, and new-employee follow-ups.
