Job summary

Jensen Landscape Services is seeking a tree care professional in Sacramento. Candidates should have at least two years of professional tree climbing experience, knowledge of tree care basics, and a proven safety record.

The role involves climbing trees over 15 feet, lifting 25–50 lbs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Responsibilities include trimming, tops and reshaping trees, using a range of cutting tools, transplanting, operating chipping equipment, and inspecting trees for

Qualifications

• At least two years of professional tree climbing experience.
• Know basic tree care principles, cabling, pruning techniques, tree ID and disease ID.
• Able to climb trees over 15’ and work on branches and platforms.
• Physically demanding work including lifting 25–50 lbs and outdoor conditions.
• Safety training emphasis: aerial rescue, PPE, hazard recognition, knots and rigging.

Responsibilities

• Trim, top, and reshape trees.
• Use chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers to remove dead/overhanging branches.
• Transplant and remove trees and shrubs.
• Operate chipping equipment.
• Inspect trees for disease or pest problems.
