SavATree in Troy, MI is hiring a Tree Climber for our General Tree Care Team to maintain client landscapes. A typical day includes climbing and pruning large shade trees, performing removals and cable bracing, operating chainsaws and bucket trucks, and delivering high-quality service as part of a safety-focused team.

This role offers outdoor work on local properties, opportunities to grow in arboriculture, and a company committed to preservation and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience with pruning large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree/shrub species.
• Ability to climb without spurs.
• Knowledge of tree care safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with chainsaws and related equipment.
• Experience operating aerial lifts (bucket truck).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; CDL a plus.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Climb and prune large shade trees and ornamentals using proper practices.
• Perform removals, cable bracing, and other tree care techniques.
• Safely operate chainsaws, equipment, and aerial lifts (bucket trucks).
• Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to clients.
• Apply industry safety standards in all aspects of tree care.
