Job summary

Joshua Tree Experts is actively seeking an experienced Tree Climber to join our founding team in a growing North Chicago territory. You’ll work on premium properties in upscale neighborhoods, operating with top-tier climbing gear and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years professional tree climbing experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• ISA Certification preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
• Physical ability to perform demanding climbing work.
• Team-oriented mindset with willingness to train others.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert tree climbing for removals, pruning, and preservation work.
• Communicate effectively with crew leader and team members.
• Maintain professional image and represent JTE's premium brand standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with homeowners.
• Delegate work to ground crew and ensure safe operations.
• Maintain assigned equipment and climbing gear to company standards.
• Follow comprehensive safety protocols and ANSI standards.
• Identify and communicate upselling opportunities to crew leader.
• Work minimum 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities.
• Understand and operate aerial lift equipment as needed.
