Job summary

Monster Tree Service of Hartford is seeking a Tree Climber Apprentice to join a growing team in Connecticut. This hands-on role involves climbing and operating equipment under supervision, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have experience with trimming or limb removal, a clean driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs while working outdoors in all weather conditions. Competitive wages and year-round employment are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with trimming, limbing, chipper and saw operation preferred.
• Clean valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to carry 50 lbs and work outside in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Uses hand lines to lower limbs and equipment.
• Unloads, lays out, prepares, and stows materials, tools, and equipment at the worksite.
• Works from the ground using handsaws and pole saws; assists with other equipment as assigned.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Participates in safety meetings and job briefings.
• Keeps work area neat and reports repairs to crew leader.
