Warrick Brothers Tree Service is seeking a Tree Climber to help deliver safe, high-quality tree care in Arlington, WA.

Position Summary

The Tree Climber is responsible for climbing and working in trees to perform pruning, removal, and related maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner. This role combines hands-on technical skills with strong safety awareness to protect people, property, and the worksite environment.

You’ll work as part of a team to plan daily jobs, follow established procedures, and complete work to spec while maintaining professionalism and craftsmanship from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tree climbing operations using appropriate safety practices and climbing systems to access work areas safely.

• Execute pruning, trimming, and removals according to job plans, equipment requirements, and industry best practices.

• Use rigging and lowering techniques to manage falling debris, reduce risk, and protect surrounding structures.

• Maintain a clean, organized jobsite and properly stage tools, materials, and equipment before, during, and after work.

• Communicate clearly with the crew to coordinate workflow efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to climb and work safely at heights while maintaining focus and situational awareness.

• Demonstrated experience performing tree care tasks such as pruning, trimming, or removals (or comparable hands-on field work).

• Strong commitment to following safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to established jobsite protocols.

• Physical ability to lift equipment, work outdoors in varied weather, and perform demanding manual labor.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow direction while maintaining professional standards.

• Driver's License and clean driving record. Reliable transportation to and from work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with rigging techniques and aerial work planning.

• Familiarity with equipment used for tree work and general jobsite preparation.

• A safety-first mindset with a history of working responsibly around hazards.

• Experience supporting customers or working in populated areas while protecting people and property.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $30.00 - $45.00

Depending on experience and efficiency

I've met climbers that had every technical skill available that were slow, and I've met other climbers that were fast and efficient but had little technical skills. The candidates that are fast and knowledgeable will be leaning towards the higher end.
