Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber in Mount Pleasant, IA. This full-time, non-exempt role offers hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and EAP. Work involves trimming trees, climbing, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring public safety in outdoor environments.

Entry-level position with no prior experience required. Pre-employment drug screening, background, and MVR checks may apply; driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment or material.
• Driver’s License preferred, but not required.
• Pre-employment requirements include drug screen, background, and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Trim and/or remove trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Load/unload trucks.
• Feed brush/debris into a woodchipper.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Cooperate with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Maintain good housekeeping on trucks and at work locations.
