Job summary

Herrington Tree Services is seeking a motivated Groundsman to support tree care operations. You will assist with ground-level tasks, staging tools, and ensuring safety on job sites. The role emphasizes teamwork, safe equipment handling, and efficient site cleanup.

Qualifications

• Experience in tree care, landscaping, or outdoor labor preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and work in varying outdoor conditions.
• Familiarity with power tools and basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Strong commitment to safety and following instructions.
• Valid drivere9s license is required.
• Dependable, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage tools, equipment, and supplies for climbers and crew leaders.
• Operate chainsaws, woodchippers, and stump grinders safely.
• Manage ropes and rigging during tree removal and pruning operations.
• Clear and dispose of brush, logs, and debris from job sites.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area in compliance with ANSI and OSHA standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
