Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries Sugar Land, TX is hiring a Tree Care Climber to assist the Foreman by leading the crew, climbing and trimming trees, and operating equipment such as chainsaws and chippers. You will help other crew members and continually learn new techniques while contributing to client service.

The role requires safety compliance, comfort with climbing up to 60 ft, and willingness to learn. This is a full-time, day-shift position with up to 50% travel, and offers training and career

Qualifications

• Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of climbing harnesses, tree gaffs, chippers, chainsaws, and rigging techniques.
• Comfortable climbing to heights of up to 60 ft.
• Proper felling techniques.

• Cleaning, organizing and following tasks as a crew to take care of our clients.

Job Summary

Education

High School diploma or equivalent.

Physical requirements/Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally exchange information with colleagues, managers, and vendors. Theposition is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently reach for, pull, lift, and/or move items weighing up to and over 50 lbs. The employee must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind. The position is expected to be full-time and may be scheduled on weekdays and weekends.
