Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries is looking for a Tree Care Climber to assist the Foreman, lead crew tasks, and safely climb and prune trees. You will operate equipment like chainsaws and chippers, and support team members while learning new skills in a high-growth horticulture environment.

Responsibilities include pruning, removing trees and shrubs, and following job tasks with attention to safety. The role requires up to 60 ft climbs and adherence to ANSI standards, OSHA rules, and company safety

Qualifications

• Able to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.
• Applicable knowledge on climbing harnesses, tree gaffs, chippers, chainsaws, and rigging techniques.
• Comfortable climbing to heights of up to 60 ft.
• Proper felling techniques.
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Follow ANSI Z133 and ANSI A300 standards.

The employee must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
