Job summary

Lad Lake is a COA-accredited nonprofit serving youth and families in Southeast Wisconsin. We’re looking for a Treatment Technician to join our pool in Dousman, WI, on a part-time basis, to support youth facing emotional and behavioral challenges.

You’ll model positive behavior, plan activities, use de-escalation techniques, document progress, and help with safe transportation. We value patience, trauma-informed care, and respect for diverse backgrounds, with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

  • At least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
  • Comfort with computers and MS Office; strong communication.
  • Ability to engage respectfully with youth and families.

Responsibilities

  • Be there for youth, families, and support teams; model behavior and teach life skills.
  • Plan and lead activities; conduct daily routines in a structured way.
  • Guide youth using verbal de-escalation techniques; provide support.
  • Document progress and track ongoing activities.
  • Provide rides in agency vehicles for community activities.
  • Protect youth privacy and follow privacy practices.

What a day in the life of a Treatment Technician looks like:
  • Be there for the youth, their families, and other support teams. This includes positive role modeling, showing youth how to regulate emotions, building healthy relationships, and teaching life skills.
  • Planning & leading activities, conducting daily routines in an engaging, structured way
  • Guiding youth when things get tough, using verbal de-escalation techniques, you will learn
  • Keeping track of what’s happening and completing appropriate documentation
  • Giving rides in our agency vehicles for community stuff
  • Protecting our youth by honoring our privacy practices
What you bring to the table:
  • At least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • At least 21 years old
  • Valid Driver's License and a good record
  • Know your way around a computer and MS Office
  • Possess patience, understanding & trauma-focused care, especially when things get rough
  • Celebrate different cultures, backgrounds, and abilities
  • Ability to be physically engaged and lift at least 30 lbs as we interact with young, active youth. In rare cases, you might need to intervene to keep everyone safe physically.
