Job summary

AWARE is looking for a Treatment Service Specialist to join our Helena team. The role focuses on providing direct services to children with special needs in the school setting and collaborating with parents, teachers, and school personnel to implement individualized plans.

You will report observations to the treatment team and participate in team-building activities. We emphasize a wrap-around approach to ensure the child’s success in both school and home environments and help youth develop

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a Human Services related field or equivalent, per documented work history/education/volunteer experience.
• Proficient with computer use, basic performance-based software and EMR systems.
• Strong oral and written communication to document observations and report them to the treatment team.
• High School Diploma or HSE is required.
• Must have Montana driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Background check required and satisfactory.

• Communicate behavioral and emotional observations to the treatment team and participate in team meetings.

Requirements

Talents, skills, and abilities:

• A BS/BA Degree in a Human Services Related Field is preferred; an equivalency can be used based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience.
• Requires computer literacy skills, including the ability to navigate, record, and overall basic computer skills needed for performance-based software as well as an electronic medical records system.
• The Specialist must have the interpersonal oral and written communications skills to work as a team member, to make observations and to report them accurately, to learn resident care methods, and to follow oral and written instructions.
• High School Diploma or HSE is required, along with past employment experience.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record.
• Must have an acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
