Whitfield County is seeking a licensed behavioral health professional to provide screening, assessment referrals, individual and group counseling, and care coordination within the treatment program.
The role emphasizes evidence-based practices, confidentiality, and meticulous documentation in EMR systems to support client recovery and program effectiveness.
PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION
The Treatment Provider provides the following services (as defined by state of Georgia service guidelines) for individuals with Addictive Disease: Behavioral Assessment; Service Plan Development; Community Support Services; Individual, Group, Family Counseling/Training, Discharge Planning, Brief Treatment and Brief Intervention Techniques.

Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, or related field plus one year of clinical experience in an alcohol or other drugs (AOD) or mental health setting. Currently holding an LAPC, LMSW or LAMFT License and in process of obtaining LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. Must be in active clinical supervision while in the process of obtaining clinical licensure if under provisional licensure. Must follow all state board rules and regulations for licensure. Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
LCSW, LPC, or LMFT licensure.
Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (CBI), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Thinking for a Change (T4C) and other comparable evidence-based curriculum certifications.
3 years’ experience conducting evidence-based groups and individual counseling sessions.
Experience in accountably court/corrections environment.
