Qualifications

  • Two+ years of nursing experience preferred, especially in long‑term care or skilled nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate resident treatments per physician orders and site policies.
  • Communicate plans of care and treatment updates to residents and families.
  • Perform treatments with dignity, comfort, and safety, documenting progress.
  • Assess wounds and skin conditions; notify physicians of changes or signs of infection.
  • Update care plans and carry out physician orders for meds and treatments.
  • Assist with resident visits and examinations and collaborate with the care team.
  • Document accurately and timely and report concerns to RN Supervisor or DON.

Treatment Nurse (LVN/LPN or RN) – Part-TimeRoseville Care Center | Roseville, CAJob Type: Part-TimePay: Competitive Pay – DOEMake a Difference Every Day!Roseville Care Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Treatment Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis.The Treatment Nurse plays an important role in ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and compassionate treatment in accordance with physician orders, individualized plans of care, facility policies, and applicable regulations.If you are an experienced nurse with strong wound care skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and a passion for caring for seniors, we would love to hear from you!What You'll DoProvide and coordinate resident treatments according to physician orders and facility policies and procedures.Communicate regularly with residents and families regarding plans of care, treatment protocols, PT, OT, and other services.Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive, professional relationships with residents and families.Perform treatments while protecting each resident's dignity, privacy, comfort, and self-respect.Assess wounds, pressure injuries, and skin conditions accurately and document findings.Promptly notify physicians and nursing leadership of changes in wound condition, lack of healing, deterioration, or signs and symptoms of infection.Ensure appropriate wound care interventions are incorporated into the plan of care to promote healing, including appropriate equipment and nutritional support as indicated.Assist with preparing and updating care plans related to treatment and wound care.Carry out physician orders related to medications, treatments, and resident care.Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during resident visits and examinations.Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding resident condition, treatments, and progress.Notify appropriate parties of significant treatment-related concerns, including changes in skin or wound condition, medication or treatment issues, treatment errors, or inability to obtain necessary treatment-related supplies or services.Complete accurate, timely, and descriptive nursing documentation reflecting the care provided and the resident's response to treatment.Report significant findings, changes in condition, and potential concerns to the RN Supervisor and/or Director of Nursing.Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of nursing staff.Assist with the overall supervision of nursing staff as assigned.Participate in facility surveys and inspections as requested by facility leadership.Maintain a patient, caring, and compassionate approach when working with residents who may be anxious, upset, or in need of reassurance.What We're Looking ForCurrent, unencumbered California RN or LVN license.Current CPR certification.Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or completion of an approved nursing program appropriate to the license held.Two or more years of nursing experience preferred, particularly experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.Strong wound care and treatment skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to read and understand technical procedures, policies, and nursing manuals.Strong clinical judgment and ability to solve practical problems.Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagram, and schedule-based instructions.Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.Must maintain all required continuing education and licensing requirements.Must remain in good standing with the California Board of Registered Nursing or Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, as applicable.Ideal CandidateWe're looking for someone who is: Compassionate and resident-focused Experienced in wound care and treatments A strong team player An excellent communicator Professional and dependable Patient and reassuring with residents Detail-oriented with documentation Committed to providing quality carePhysical RequirementsThis position requires frequent standing and walking, as well as frequent reaching, pushing, and pulling.
