Job summary

Heritage Manor Care is seeking a full‑time treatment nurse (M–F) for the 7:00–3:30 shift to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise daily nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.

The role involves assessing residents, performing quarterly dermatologic exams, and collaborating with the Care Planning Team to develop and adjust care plans. Duties include wound care, emergencies, admissions, discharges, and coordination with families.

Qualifications

• Current LVN/RN license in California.
• Clear background check.
• At least 6 months of treatment nurse experience.

Responsibilities

Overview

We’re a skilled nursing facility looking for a full‑time treatment nurse (M–F) for the 7‑3:30 shift to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise daily nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and diagnostic services to residents, including observation, inspection, and palpation.
• Complete a quarterly physical dermatologic examination of the resident and record the results.
• Provide therapeutic services and collaborate with the Care Planning Team in developing the care plan.
• Administer treatment for uncomplicated dermatologic disorders under physician supervision.
• Ensure residents with decubitus ulcers receive appropriate prophylaxis and treatment, such as daily inspection, turning, activity, a well‑planned diet, and maintaining a clean, dry bed.
• Give direct physical and psychological nursing care in emergencies, illness, or disability to maintain life, provide comfort, reduce stress, and enhance coping ability.
• Assist in the admission or discharge of residents.
• Coordinate with other health agencies and family members during admission, care, and discharge transitions.
• Assist in resident rehabilitation activities, performing range of motion, ambulation assistance, providing emotional support, and monitoring the results of physical therapy activities.

Requirements
