Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a dental office or healthcare administrative role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of dental terminology, treatment planning, and insurance processes.
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient scheduling to support provider productivity, hygiene flow, and practice efficiency.
  • Prepare, present, and review financial treatment plans with patients, ensuring clear understanding of care and financial expectations.
  • Follow up with patients regarding proposed treatment plans and assist with scheduling the next steps.
  • Verify insurance benefits, coverage, and fee schedules to provide accurate estimates and breakdowns.
  • Communicate treatment fees, document financial arrangements, and confirm patient payment commitments.
  • Assist patients with insurance forms and ensure accurate and complete documentation.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patient questions regarding treatment, scheduling, and financial concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within practice management software.
  • Collaborate closely with dentists, hygienists, office managers, and patient coordinators to ensure seamless patient flow.

The Treatment Coordinator plays a key role in supporting patient care and practice operations by managing patient scheduling, coordinating patient flow, and presenting financial treatment plans.
