Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking world-class software engineers for the Corporate Treasury Engineering team in New York to help optimize liquidity projections, cash and collateral management, and funds transfer pricing and execution strategy.

You will work on an integrated front-to-back model, collaborating with treasury leadership to define and develop software to analyze data, build metric calculators, and automate tools that reduce interest expenses and improve decision making across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Strong experience in software development with understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts.
• Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical and business audiences and working globally.
• Ability to design complex and distributed scalable systems.
• Willingness to learn the firm’s proprietary risk management system SecDB and programming language Slang.
• Entrepreneurial approach and passion for problem solving and product development.
• Ideally 5+ years of IT industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Use engineering to identify and measure risk and implement quantitative and technical risk management solutions in software.
• Forge strong relationships with key business partners to develop and enhance treasury systems and processes.
• Apply analytics to drive commercial outcomes and communicate with precision and clarity.
• Develop software to analyze data, build metric calculators, and automate tools to help business insights and decision making.
• Develop scalable architecture and implement software following full SDLC cycle.
• Explore latest technologies to build optimum technology solutions.
• Work closely with business to deliver real-time impact and maximum product value.
