Job summary

Highgate Hotels invites applications for a Treasury Internship at our Irving, TX corporate offices. This 10-week summer program starts in June and provides exposure to banking, cash management, and financial reporting across a hotel portfolio.

You'll work with experienced Treasury professionals, gain hands-on experience with banking operations and treasury systems, and develop analytical skills to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Finance (in progress) or similar degree.
• Minimum Junior status.
• Knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and reports) and PowerPoint skills.
• Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Must be organized with the ability to work accurately in a time efficient manner.
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to participate in a summer internship program of 10 weeks (June to August).
• You must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work onsite.
• Salary - $20/hour for 40-hour week, with a duration of 10 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Learn how the Treasury team manages banking activities and cash across the hotel portfolio.
• Gain exposure to banking operations, payment processing, and electronic fund transfers.
• Learn about daily cash management, bank account maintenance, and Positive Pay.
• Gain an understanding of banking fees and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Learn how Treasury works with banking partners and internal stakeholders.
• Gain exposure to Treasury systems, processes, and reporting.
• Participate in Treasury projects and initiatives.
• Must be able to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Must maintain confidentiality of company and financial information.
