About the Role

The Treasury Relationship Manager II (TRM II) is an experienced banker responsible for managing and growing complex deposit and treasury relationships with small to medium-sized businesses in the Central Valley [Northern/Southern California] market. This role leads business development efforts, manages higher-value portfolios, mentors junior staff, and ensures exceptional service and compliance. The TRM II contributes to strategic sales goals and collaborates across departments to deliver tailored treasury solutions.

Essential Duties:
  • Generates new leads through outbound calls, emails, networking, and in-person meetings.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to drive long-term business.
  • Uses CRM systems to track interactions, update customer records, and manage pipeline activity.
  • Manages a portfolio of small to mid-sized business clients, identifying opportunities to grow deposits and TM product usage.
  • Engages clients in consultative discussions to assess needs and recommend complex Treasury Management solutions, including payments, digital banking, and cash management services.
  • Maintains advanced knowledge of TM products, systems, platforms, and industry best practices to provide expert guidance to clients
  • Monitors client activity and identifies opportunities for cross-selling non-lending products while referring any credit or lending needs to Commercial Relationship Managers.
  • Drives business development initiatives by networking, attending community events, and leveraging existing client relationships to generate new deposit and TM opportunities.
  • Delivers superior customer service, ensuring timely issue resolution and effective follow-through on client requests.
  • Supports compliance and risk management by ensuring TM solutions and operational processes follow Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to junior TRM staff, helping them navigate products, processes, and client engagement strategies.
  • Collaborates with internal partners, including operations, product specialists, and other departments, to optimize service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Represents the Bank in business and community events, building the Bank’s visibility and strengthening client and referral relationships.
  • Embodies the TRAC Values and Critical Behaviors (Teamwork, Relationship, Authenticity, Commitment) as core principles, using them to guide daily interactions and decision-making.
  • Completes administrative tasks with a sense of urgency, including required Bank Compliance Training. Responds to internal and external inquiries via email, phone, or messaging platforms in a timely and professional manner. Positively represents the Bank through ethical conduct and community involvement.

  • Performs duties in an office or home office environment, involving tasks such as writing, typing, speaking, lifting moderate weights, and operating office equipment.   • Travels up to 75%, including but not limited to frequent trips to client locations, sales presentations, industry conferences, corporate events, and training sessions. Travel may include long-distance flights, overnight stays, and local transportation.
Requirements
  • This role requires local residency within Fresno County due to operational needs.
  • Must reside in Southern California and established in the market.
  • Must reside in Northern California and established in the Easy Bay market.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; relevant field preferred (e.g., Business, Finance, or related).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of in commercial banking, business development or sales role required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross-sell and explain all products and services with confidence and authority.
  • Knowledge of commercial banking products and services as well as strong understanding of federal compliance regulations required.
  • Ability to take initiative and effect change within the Bank through consensus building, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers, vendors and employees.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship skills to lead collaborative efforts, foster alignment, and drive results across teams.
  • Ability to take initiative and impact change within the Bank through consensus building and conflict resolution.
  • Willingness to take on special projects and perform other duties as assigned, beyond core responsibilities, to support team and organizational needs.
