Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts – Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development is seeking an Accountant III in Treasury Ops. Under the Treasury Operations Manager, the role handles cash accounts, reconciliations, and daily cash flow while ensuring compliance with state and federal rules.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws, standards and guidelines governing cash management.
• Experience in the MOSAIC state accounting system and enterprise software to manage accounts.
• Strong understanding of audit/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process unemployment benefit cash drawdowns within ASAP and US Treasury sites.
• Process federal grant drawdowns with PMS federal site; reconcile MOSAIC transactions.
• Coordinate with treasury partners to ensure accurate cash draw reconciliation.
• Maintain records for cash draws and document for audit compliance.
• Scan and deposit sweep account checks.
• Enter payment vouchers into MOSAIC for processing.
• Monitor daily cash balances, revenue, and fund disbursements; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform weekly cash and expense reconciliations with State Comptroller and Treasurer offices.
