Job summary

Sumitomo Biorational Company in Libertyville, IL seeks a Senior Treasury Manager to lead day-to-day treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital reporting.

You will oversee Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Collections, drive process improvements, and collaborate with Finance to optimize liquidity. Requires 10+ years treasury experience, SAP and advanced Excel skills; MBA/CPA preferred.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in treasury, finance, accounting, or corporate finance.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
  • Experience managing banking relationships, cash forecasting, and working capital initiatives.
  • SAP experience required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience with treasury and credit management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain weekly CMS forecasts to ensure liquidity for daily operations.
  • Develop consolidated cash flow forecasts for budget, current year, and LRP.
  • Provide financial modeling and data-driven analysis to support decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve liquidity, forecasting accuracy, and treasury reporting.
  • Monitor AR KPIs, aging, and DSO; analyze AP KPIs and duplicate payments.
  • Lead AR, Credit, and Collections team to achieve goals and maintain relationships.
  • Oversee credit line reviews and credit approvals; monitor risk.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of AR balances; drive process improvements.
  • Manage day-to-day treasury operations, bank statements, and banking admin.
  • Assist with FX hedging strategies and cross-entity allocations.

Description of Job

Responsible for managing the Company's day-to-day treasury activities, cash flow forecasting, banking operations, and working capital reporting. Provides financial analysis and operational support to help optimize liquidity, maintain effective banking processes, and support informed business decisions. Leads the Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Collections team, providing guidance, coaching, and oversight to ensure timely collections, sound credit management, and accurate receivables reporting. Working collaboratively with Finance and other business functions, this position identifies opportunities to improve cash flow, strengthen internal controls, and enhance treasury and working capital processes while supporting the Company's financial objectives.

Principal Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Cash Management
  • Maintain weekly Cash Management System (CMS) forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for daily consolidated operations.
  • Develop consolidated cash flow forecasts for the annual budget, current fiscal year, and Long Range Plan (LRP).
  • Provide financial modeling, data-driven analysis, and recommendations to support executive decision-making and special projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve liquidity, cash forecasting accuracy, and treasury reporting.
Working Capital & KPI Oversight
  • Monitor and report Accounts Receivable KPIs, including aging, collection effectiveness, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Analyze Accounts Payable KPIs, including aging, payment accuracy, team productivity, and duplicate payment prevention.
  • Track consolidated working capital metrics and recommend initiatives to improve cash flow, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards to monitor key treasury and working capital performance indicators.
AR, Collection & Credit Oversight
  • Lead the Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Collections team to achieve operational excellence and performance goals.
  • Ensure timely collections while minimizing bad debt expense and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Oversee annual credit line reviews, new customer credit approvals, and ongoing credit risk monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of accounts receivable balances.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process enhancements, automation, and system optimization.
Treasury Operations & Administration
  • Manage day-to-day treasury operations.
  • Review bank statements, analyze bank fees, and recommend cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Monitor disbursement activity and transaction reporting to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Resolve online banking issues and support treasury‑related banking administration.
  • Maintain banking authorizations, signer updates, and required banking documentation.
  • Perform monthly interest allocation and accrual analysis across legal entities.
  • Assist with foreign exchange (FX) hedging strategies and execution.
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in treasury, finance, accounting, or corporate finance.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
  • Experience managing banking relationships, cash forecasting, and working capital initiatives.

Base Salary

The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from: $132,000 to $162,000. Individual pay is based upon location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Incentives
