Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Treasury Intern for our Irving, TX corporate offices this summer. You will assist the Treasury team with cash management, banking activities, and financial reporting, gaining hands-on exposure to hotel portfolio cash flows and banking operations.

The role runs June–August for 10 weeks, requires enrollment in a related Bachelor's program, and demands strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, analytical ability, and a detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree related to accounting or finance or hospitality finance.
• Junior status with awareness of basic accounting/finance principles.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Treasury team with banking activities and cash processes.
• Support daily cash management and bank account maintenance.
• Contribute to banking operations, payments, and EFTs.
• Learn Treasury systems, processes, and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on projects and initiatives.

Overview

Join Highgate this summer for an exciting opportunity with our Treasury Operations team as a Treasury Intern!

Our 2027 Treasury Internship gives you the opportunity to explore how Treasury supports financial operations across the hospitality industry. You'll work alongside experienced Treasury professionals, gain exposure to cash management, financial reporting, and banking activities across a hotel portfolio, and begin developing the analytical and financial skills that support effective cash management and business decision-making. Our internship begins in June and is based at our Corporate Offices in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities

• Learn how the Treasury team manages banking activities and cash across the hotel portfolio.
• Gain exposure to banking operations, payment processing, and electronic fund transfers.
• Learn about daily cash management, bank account maintenance, and Positive Pay.
• Gain an understanding of banking fees and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Learn how Treasury works with banking partners and internal stakeholders.
• Gain exposure to Treasury systems, processes, and reporting.
• Participate in Treasury projects and initiatives.
• Must be able to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Must maintain confidentiality of company and financial information.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Finance (in progress) or a similar degree.
• Minimum Junior status.
• Knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and reports) and PowerPoint skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Must be organized with the ability to work accurately in a time efficient manner.
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to participate in a summer internship program of 10 weeks (June to August).
• You must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work onsite.
• Salary - $20/hour for 40-hour week, with a duration of 10 weeks.
