Job summary

Highgate Hotels is offering a Treasury Internship at our Irving, TX corporate offices for a 10-week program from June to August 2027. You will work with the Treasury team on cash management, banking operations, and financial reporting across our hotel portfolio.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a related Bachelor's program, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and a track record of analytical thinking and meeting deadlines. Onsite, 40 hours/week, $20/hour.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Finance (in progress) or a similar degree.
• Minimum Junior status.
• Knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and reports) and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn how the Treasury team manages banking activities and cash across the hotel portfolio.
• Gain exposure to banking operations, payment processing, and electronic fund transfers.
• Learn about daily cash management, bank account maintenance, and Positive Pay.
• Gain an understanding of banking fees and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Learn how Treasury works with banking partners and internal stakeholders.
• Gain exposure to Treasury systems, processes, and reporting.
• Participate in Treasury projects and initiatives.
• Must be able to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Must maintain confidentiality of company and financial information.

Overview

Join Highgate this summer for an exciting opportunity with our Treasury Operations team as a Treasury Intern!

Our 2027 Treasury Internship gives you the opportunity to explore how Treasury supports financial operations across the hospitality industry. You’ll work alongside experienced Treasury professionals, gain exposure to cash management, financial reporting, and banking activities across a hotel portfolio, and begin developing the analytical and financial skills that support effective cash management and business decision-making. Our internship begins in June and is based at our Corporate Offices in Irving, TX.

• You must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work onsite.
• Salary - $20/hour for 40-hour week, with a duration of 10 weeks.

For Employees Based in Washington:

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• Paid Sick & Safe Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, with up to 72 hours of unused time carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

For Employees Based in Colorado:

• 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
• 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

For Employees Based in California:

• 8 paid holidays per year
• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
• Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.
