Job summary

Obsidian seeks a treasury professional to join our corporate treasury team in Charlotte, NC. You will complete self-contained treasury exercises from mock files and produce deliverables graded against a rubric.

You will build rolling 13-week cash forecasts, analyze FX exposures, design hedges, and draft policy content covering liquidity and counterparty risk, with a focus on accuracy and actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a corporate treasury role at an operating company.
• Hands-on with cash forecasting, hedging, or bank and liquidity management.

Responsibilities

• Build rolling 13-week direct cash forecasts with receipts, disbursements and variance explanation.
• Identify and net FX exposures, analyze fixed and floating rate risk, and design hedges against a corporate policy.
• Produce hedge designation documentation with periodic effectiveness testing.
• Analyze working capital performance (DSO/DPO/DIO), bank fees against services, trapped cash and repatriation options, and forecast leverage and covenant headroom.
• Draft or refresh treasury policy covering liquidity, FX, counterparties and investment.
