Job summary

The City of Houston is seeking a Treasury Analyst to support banking, debt, and treasury operations. This role handles day-to-day treasury tasks, including banking management, trade workflows, and cash reconciliation across city accounts.

The ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis skills, knowledge of banking structures, and the ability to coordinate high-volume municipal workflows. Office environment; standard hours apply.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or closely related field.
• Three years of progressive professional experience in treasury/financial operations.
• Master's degree may substitute for two years of the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Support banking management and treasury operations for the City's accounts.
• Process day-to-day treasury tasks including payments, wires, and cash management.
• Monitor debt service schedules and calculate interest payments for city debt instruments.
• Assist in renewing banking contracts and evaluating bank fees.
• Serve as Security Administrator for on-line banking system and guide users.
