Job summary

Mariner Finance in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Treasury/Cash Operations professional to manage day-to-day cash and treasury activities, forecast cash flows, and assist with short-term borrowings.

You will provide financial analysis, develop models, and produce dashboards to support reporting and securitization activities, with SQL-based analysis and close collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the day-to-day management of cash and treasury operations, cash forecasting, assisting with short-term borrowings, and treasury payments.
• Provide the required financial framework, financial analysis, financial modeling, and business metrics.
• Optimize top-off mechanics, processes, and workflows.
• Automate reporting processes, including top-offs and monthly settlements.
• Review warehouse cash movements and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Support the daily cash process under the guidance of the Treasury Cash Manager.
• Support the transition and ongoing ownership of reporting activities and dependencies from internal teams
• Create and maintain securitization dashboards.
• Develop and maintain quality control processes for reporting.
• Support securitization structuring and pricing activities.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by gathering, preparing, and providing accurate and timely data, reports, files, and supporting documentation as requested.
• Utilize SQL Server databases by developing queries, views, and various functions in order to provide detailed analytics and financial reporting.

In this role, you will...

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Successfully demonstrates, through prior experience and on-the-job, effective human relations and interpersonal skills and a participative team-oriented style.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
• Ability to handle multiple work streams at once in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and timely completion.
• Self-starter with exceptional work ethic, motivation, and desire to learn.
• Results-oriented individual with the ability to translate plans into actions.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Intellectually curious and proactive to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• SQL knowledge and experience.
• Experience or general knowledge of Accounting GAAP concepts.
• Fixed income mechanics including bond math (duration, yield) and capital markets exposure.
