Job summary

Brilliant in Denver is seeking a Financial/Treasury Analyst for a hybrid role requiring three days in the office. The position will start with a data migration project and evolve into a Treasury Analyst role over 9–12 months, exposing the candidate to banking, cash management and hedging activities.

Responsibilities

  • Initial focus on a major system/data migration project analyzing and validating existing data.
  • Validate accuracy and ensure data translates correctly into the new system.
  • Understand how numbers flow through the current system and how information moves between systems.
  • Investigate discrepancies, research data, and resolve data flow issues.
  • Collaborate heavily with IT during migration.
  • Transition into traditional Treasury Analyst duties including banking, cash management and hedging over time.
  • Help build out the Treasury function as the organization grows.

Job description

Our growing, Consumer Services client has a newly created role for a Financial/Treasury Analyst.

**This role is Hybrid 3 days in Office in S. Denver (tech center)**

The role is somewhat unique because it will effectively have two phases:

  • Initial focus on a major system/data migration project.
  • Transition into a more traditional Treasury Analyst position once the project is completed (9-12 months).

The emphasis is that the candidate needs to successfully execute the project before moving into the broader Treasury responsibilities.

Initial Project / System Migration:
  • Significant responsibility around analyzing and validating existing data before it is migrated into company's new proprietary system.
  • Current system houses a large amount of operational and financial data, including inventory and employee time/pay information.
  • Candidate will analyze existing data, understand how the numbers flow through the current system, validate accuracy, and ensure the information translates correctly into the new system.
  • Heavy collaboration with the IT team.
  • The key requirement is understanding the numbers and the underlying data, rather than actually building or programming the new system.
  • Must be comfortable investigating discrepancies, researching data, and figuring out how information should flow from one system to another.
Future Treasury Responsibilities:
  • Exposure to banking, cash management, hedging and related Treasury activities would be required.
  • Long term, there is an opportunity to help build out the Treasury function.
Qualifications:
  • Highly analytical and understands financial data/numbers.
  • Bachelors Degree is Required.
  • Can analyze large amounts of data and identify inconsistencies or issues.
  • Can understand how data moves through systems and ensure accurate translation during implementation.
  • Is comfortable investigating, researching and solving problems independently.
  • Has enough finance/accounting knowledge to understand the underlying financial information.
  • Has autonomy and initiative rather than needing constant direction.
  • Is willing to jump in and solve problems during a period of significant organizational growth.
  • Can eventually grow into a broader Treasury role and help develop the Treasury function.
