Chiquita is seeking a dedicated Treasury Analyst to join our Treasury team. You will handle weekly and monthly payment runs, manage liquidity, monitor bank relationships, and ensure timely, accurate cash transactions in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in finance or treasury operations, strong Excel skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to multitask with keen attention to detail.

Formación

• 2-3 years of experience in finance, preferably treasury operations.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong general computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong multitasking with attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Process weekly and monthly payment runs through the Treasury Management System.
• Process manual payments at bank portal and vendor portals.
• Manage account funding and initiate fund transfers for liquidity.
• Monitor and resolve payment exceptions with banks and internal teams.
• Follow up on outstanding checks and ensure accurate reporting.
• Record treasury transactions, including FX, in the ERP weekly.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare monthly reports on bank charges and interest.
• Participate in treasury projects and automation to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Chiquita is looking for a dedicated Treasury Analyst to join our Treasury team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling payments and ensuring smooth financial operations. We are seeking someone detail-oriented and reliable who can efficiently manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process weekly and monthly payment runs through the Treasury Management System, including payment submission, approval coordination, and confirmation of successful debit with banking partners.


• Process manual payments at bank portal and vendor’s portal and approval coordination.


• Manage account funding and initiate fund transfers to ensure adequate liquidity and timely payment execution.


• Monitor and resolve payment exceptions, returned payments, and other payment-related issues by coordinating with banks, Accounts Payable, and internal stakeholders.


• Manage and follow up on outstanding checks, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting.


• Record treasury transactions, including foreign exchange transactions, in the ERP system on a weekly basis and in accordance with accounting requirements.


• Perform daily bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of cash transactions and account balances.


• Prepare monthly reports related to bank charges, interest income/expense, and other treasury-related activities.


• Participate in treasury-related projects, process improvement initiatives, and automation efforts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• 2-3 years of experience in finance, preferably in treasury operations, banking, accounts payables, credit collections, or cash application.


• Proficiency in Excel and strong general computer skills.


• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.


• Strong multitasking skills with keen attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.


• Excellent organizational abilities.


• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.


• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.


• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.

JOB ENVIRONMENT

• Majority of tasks are performed in a temperature-controlled office setting.


• Extended periods of sitting at a desk or computer terminal.


• Use of calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other standard office equipment.


• Occasional stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching required to complete job duties.
