The Treasury Analyst is responsible for the effective execution and control of day-to-day Treasury operations, ensuring sufficient cash availability to support the company's business activities. The role involves cash management, payment processing, bank reconciliations, monthly closing activities, Treasury reporting, audit support, and banking operations. The position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling critical and time-sensitive financial transactions.
Responsibilities and duties:
CASH MANAGEMENT AND LIQUIDITY
- Monitor daily cash positions to ensure adequate liquidity levels, anticipating potential cash shortfalls or surpluses and promptly processing the required funding or internal transfers.
- Execute fund transfers between bank accounts to ensure timely availability of liquidity.
- Record and apply incoming funds received from Latam to the corresponding accounts, ensuring proper allocation.
- Handle and follow up on Treasury operational contingencies, helping prevent incidents that may affect the company's key operations and availability of funds.
PAYMENTS & PAYROLL
- Process payroll payments accurately and on time, in coordination with Human Resources, proactively identifying and communicating any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Ensure the timely execution of supplier and intercompany payments, in accordance with agreed payment terms and avoiding delays, penalties, or negative impacts on business relationships.
- Coordinate communications and processes related to RBAC, including payments and interaction with the areas involved in invoice management and processing.
BANK RECONCILIATIONS & TREASURY ACCOUNTING
- Perform and analyze bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and following up until resolution, ensuring timely recording of the necessary adjustments.
- Prepare and record the required Treasury accounting entries during the monthly closing process, including reversing entries when applicable.
- Record bank fees and commissions related to the company's bank accounts.
TREASURY REPORTING & ANALISYS
- Prepare and maintain updated Treasury reports, including cash flow, liquidity projections, bank balances, and summaries of key cash movements.
- Prepare and maintain RBAC, Royalty Franchise, and Royalty Latam reports.
- Provide financial information and Treasury analysis to support management decision-making.
BANKING OPERATIONS & BANK RELATIONSHIPS
- Liaise with banking institutions to resolve operational issues and maintain updated information on the company's corporate bank account structure.
- Manage and follow up with financial institutions on requests related to bank platform users, access, and permissions, in accordance with instructions received from the supervisor.
- Manage corporate credit cards, including coordinating payments, requests for additions and removals, credit limits, replacements, reconciliations, and handling inquiries with banking providers.
- Manage and follow up on Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), ensuring proper tracking of expiration dates, documentation, renewals, and related requirements.
COMPLIANCE, CONTROLS & AUDIT SUPPORT
- Ensure compliance with Treasury internal controls, policies, and procedures, and support process improvement and documentation initiatives.
- Coordinate and ensure timely compliance with FBAR reporting requirements, including the collection, validation, and timely submission of the required information.
- Download, organize, and archive bank statements and supporting documentation for transactions in shared folders, ensuring information is readily available for audits and compliance requirements.
- Support audit requirements by providing Treasury information and supporting documentation as requested.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Participate in Treasury automation, standardization, and continuous improvement projects.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving Treasury processes, controls, documentation, and operational efficiency.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- CPA certification or Accountant.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Treasury or Finance roles.
- Proven track record in cash management, liquidity planning, and banking operations.
- Experience in multi-entity or regional treasury operations, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and treasury controls.
- Experience working with treasury management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or other related financial systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Advanced proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability in financial operations.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
