Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Treasury professional to support daily international treasury operations and liquidity management from Ohio, with occasional travel to Dublin and potential remote work for Eastern/Central time zones.

The role focuses on cash forecasting, risk mitigation, and bank account administration. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of treasury experience, strong Excel and banking knowledge, and familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (Kyriba preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of corporate treasury experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with modeling and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and treasury practices.
• Demonstrated ability to apply corporate finance and treasury principles to business decisions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Treasury Management System experience preferred; Kyriba experience is a plus.
• CTP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily international treasury operations including cash and liquidity management, payment execution, cash forecasting, risk mitigation, reporting, analytics, and bank account administration.
• Monitor and manage daily cash positions and short-term liquidity forecasts for international entities.
• Identify funding alternatives and recommend actions to optimize liquidity.
• Invest international cash balancing liquidity and risk per policy.
• Advise on bank account structures, products, and banking strategies.
• Lead bank account opening, closing, and maintenance including cost reduction opportunities.
• Lead and support treasury projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop technical treasury expertise and stay current on trends.
• Provide regional support and cross-functional coverage for treasury operations.
• Manage time-sensitive guarantee requirements for bids and tenders with banks and partners.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure policy compliance.
• Analyze treasury data to generate insights for business decisions.

Ideal candidate will be based in Ohio. Expectation would be to come into the Dublin, OH office for moments that matter, usually once a month and once a quarter. Also open to remote candidates in Eastern and Central time zones who can travel to Dublin, Ohio once a quarter.

What Treasury contributes to Cardinal Health

Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization’s assets.

Treasury develops, recommends, and executes financial policy with a focus on corporate finance, capital markets, financial risk, international treasury, and treasury operations. This job family sets an appropriate capital structure, ensuring that at all times the company has the liquidity to meet its obligations and fund strategic initiatives. Treasury also identifies and manages risks that could erode financial strength.

• Invest international cash in accordance with the company’s investment policy while balancing liquidity, risk, and efficiency.
• Apply knowledge of global banking practices to advise on bank account structures, products, services, and overall banking strategies.
• Lead bank account opening, closing, and maintenance activities, including the management of bank fees and identification of cost-reduction opportunities.
• Lead and support treasury projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
• Proactively develop technical expertise and stay current on treasury trends, market dynamics, and industry best practices.
• Provide regional support and cross-functional coverage for treasury operations.
• Manage time-sensitive guarantee requirements for bids and tenders, coordinating with banks and internal business partners to ensure timely issuance.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure treasury activities are executed accurately and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Analyze treasury data and develop insights and recommendations that support business and policy decisions.

• Previous experience with a Treasury Management System preferred; Kyriba experience is a plus.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification preferred.
