Job description

At Morgan Education Services, we offer specialized academic interventions, including evidence-based reading programs like Orton Gillingham and other multi-sensory approaches. We also provide individualized support through ABA therapy, speech-language services, and occupational therapy.

Morgan Education Services is seeking a candidate with excellent time and project management, organizational skills, and a strong background in school finance.

Qualifications and Experience
  • At least three years of successful experience in finance and supervision of funds (strongly preferred)
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • CPA license or Masters degree in accounting (strongly preferred)
  • Ability to keep detailed, accurate records and maintain appropriate confidentiality.
  • Skilled in use of QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Proficient in the use of Office, Google and other productivity tools
  • Highly-motivated, results-driven self-starter who needs little supervision in his/her work to achieve company goals
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial information
  • Valuable time management and prioritization skills
Essential Job Functions
  • Manage incoming payments
  • Deposit received funds
  • Document all business financial transactions
  • Prepares monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Manage formal reports and company bank statements
  • Assists in preparing and managing annual budget and appropriations, monitoring individual funds and line items as needed, analyzing variances, and resolving problems in accounts
  • Plan and ensure adherence to the pre-determined financial budget for the year
  • Acts as lead person in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations
  • Assists Executive Director in revenue estimates, cash flow analysis, bank transactions, and investment planning
  • Completes monthly closing and fiscal year end closing processes
  • Collaborating with Human Resources in the approval and processing of payroll.
