Job summary

Treadwell Park Upper East Side in New York, NY 10065 is seeking a Part Time Bartender to deliver timely, friendly beverage service and maintain high standards for drink preparation.

You will take orders, prepare drinks, greet regular guests, handle payments, and keep the bar area clean and stocked. Prior knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktails is preferred, with ability to work long shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Have a working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor and common drink recipes.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes.
• Learn the names and recognize regular guests.
• Accept guests payments, process credit card charges and make change.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish bar snacks for bar guests.
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation.
• Clear and reset tables in bar area.
• Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages and/or menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
• Report equipment problems to the General Manager or manager on duty.
• Assist in restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.

Title: Bartender

Summary of Position

Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality of beverages for our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurants standard drink recipes.
• Learn the names and personally recognize our regular guests.
• Accept guests payments, process credit card charges and makes change (if applicable).
• Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish appetizers for bar guests.
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
• Clear and reset tables in bar area.
• Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages and/ or menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the General Manger of the restaurant or the manager on duty.
• Assist the restocking and replenishments of bar inventory and supplies.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the General Manager or Manger on Duty.
• Assist in alcohol inventory.
