Job summary

Ideal Dental is seeking a Periodontic Dental Assistant to support our periodontic team and patients. You’ll work with the Periodontist to ensure precision, comfort, and a smooth clinical workflow in a fast-growing practice.

This role requires an active RDA license, CPR certification, and at least one year of periodontic or surgical experience, with willingness to travel within assigned areas. We offer growth, cutting-edge technology, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their periodontic journey.
• Support patients through complex periodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.
• Work alongside the Periodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.
• Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.
• Contribute to the success of the periodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a smile
• Assisting Peridontist with procedures
• Sterilizing instruments and setting up trays
• Preparing treatment rooms
• Assisting with conscious and iv sedation
• Performing X-rays
• Charting existing and recommended treatments
• Performing other duties as required to support the office and periodontic team

What do you need to have to be a part of our team?

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of 1 years of specific Periodontic or Surgical (OS) experience
• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
