Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking an experienced traveling Superintendent to join our utilities team to run large-scale, multi-million-dollar water and wastewater projects across the United States.

You will lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety, manage schedules, review plans, and travel frequently to sites; the role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred; 8 years utilities construction experience preferred.
• 5 years supervisory experience in utilities construction.
• Understanding of installation of water lines, fittings, and testing including meters and backflow preventers; understands sanitary sewer work.
• Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory rules.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and financial/legal documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication; report to top management and owners.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all field operations and coordinates subcontracted and self-performed trade work.
• Enforces safety as the top priority on the jobsite and ensures compliance with standards and policies.
• Supervises and coordinates management of construction projects with owners, designers, and subcontractors.
• Develops overall construction schedule and sequence of work to align with contract documents.
• Maintains daily, progress, compliance, and payroll-related reports and logs; tracks critical path materials and equipment.
• Reviews plans and drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Recruits, hires and directs on-site field personnel per HR policies.
• Procures tools and materials to meet project timelines.
• Manages staffing levels and equipment availability for each project phase.
• Coordinates with engineers, architects, subcontractors and inspectors to resolve issues.
• Ensures schedules are followed and reports progress for updates.
• Oversees regulatory inspections.
