Job summary

Desort is seeking a Traveling Veterinarian to provide clinical support across multiple locations within a regional service area in the Berlin, MD region. You will deliver high-quality care across practices, adapt to varying teams, and assist with hospital coverage to maintain consistent patient and client care.

Candidates should be a DVM with an active license, able to travel between sites, and able to perform wellness, sick visits, dentistry, surgeries, and anesthesia as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
• Active veterinary license in good standing in applicable states.
• DEA and controlled substance registrations as required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Comfortable performing anesthesia and sedation procedures.
• Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
• Willingness to travel between assigned locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary coverage at designated practice locations based on operational needs.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered veterinary care at each location.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate recommendations clearly to clients.
• Promote preventive medicine and low-stress patient handling.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and leadership at each location.
• Support hospital teams in maintaining efficient workflows and high standards of care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical protocols.
• Travel between designated locations as required.
