Job summary

Intertek Grenada, MS seeks a Third Party Vendor Surveillance Inspector to perform visual inspections of materials and equipment at vendor shops or on-site facilities. The role requires experience in QC inspections, nondestructive testing, and related coatings, with travel about 50%.

This is a temporary, full-time position based in Grenada, MS. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of welding, QA standards (AWS/ISO 9001), the ability to read schematics, and be comfortable using mobile

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of welding, brazing and soldering standards with defect identification ability.
• Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, P&IDs, specs and design drawings.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or industrial fields.
• Understanding of AWS/ISO 9001 standards or ISO 9001 certification.
• Understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement.
• HVAC experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the continental US.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections or audits and review testing for conformance to client specs and procedures.
• Review material test reports for code/standard conformance.
• Follow up on dispositions and corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Document inspection activities in electronic formats.
• Evaluate project quality procedures and ensure adherence across teams.
• Review ITPs to ensure standardized surveillance and witness critical inspections.
• Carry out inspection visits personally or through 3rd-party resources.
