Job summary

Jackson HealthPros in Kentucky is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) to operate ultrasound equipment and produce diagnostic images for physicians. The role requires ARDMS/CCI certification, RDMS/ARRT eligibility, BLS, and experience with abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, obstetric, transvaginal sonography, and ultrasound-guided procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to acquire diagnostic images used by physicians.
• Perform abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, obstetric, and transvaginal sonography.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures (biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis).

Job description

Join the Jackson HealthPros team as an Ultrasound Technologist (also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you’ll use your expertise to operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce high quality images that are used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.

Minimum Requirements

• National certification in specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International2 years of experience
• as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer
• BLS Certification
• Prior travel experience
• Graduate of an accredited AMA school
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), maintains a State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Experience with abdominal, pelvic, gynecological, obstetrical, and transvaginal sonograms
• Proficiency scanning small parts including thyroid, breast, and scrotum
• Experience with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations

Assignment Details

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
