Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Regional Support Driver to ensure safe operation of company equipment and timely delivery of products to customers from a regional hub and home base. The role may involve travel to other distribution centers, with housing and travel support provided by the company.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, pre/post trip inspections, and maintaining exceptional customer service during deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience with a Class A CDL or equivalent.
• Military driving experience is a plus.
• Touch Freight experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel 3 weeks out of the month.

Responsibilities

• Transport products from distribution center to customer locations.
• Extensive travel by car or plane to other distribution centers.
• Unload cases from trailer to customer locations (up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally).
• Conduct pre/post trip inspections.
• Operate a TracScan unit.
• Provide excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for the safe operation of company equipment, and timely, courteous delivery of product to customers from both a regional support capacity and home base location. This Regional Support role allows drivers to travel to other facilities and length of assignment may vary. Transportation and housing support to these locations is provided by the company. This is a great opportunity to experience other locations within the distribution network.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
