Job summary

Shawmut Design and Construction is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead field operations on hospitality renovation projects, including travel to job sites. You will manage safety, subcontractors, quality, and schedules from preconstruction through turnover, building strong client and team relationships.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Superintendent experience on complex hospitality projects, with a proven ability to drive on-time delivery, safety compliance, and high-end finishes across

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Superintendent on complex hospitality projects.
• Experience in occupied and unoccupied environments with high-end finishes.
• Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Experience in managing, training and developing people.
• National travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations, including site safety, subcontractor coordination, quality control, progress, and site cleanliness.
• Plan logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections, and project execution with the project manager.
• Maintain an accurate project schedule with the project manager, address changes promptly, and keep work on track.
• Communicate with the project team about site conditions, changes in scope, subcontractor performance, and risks to cost or schedule.
• Hold subcontractors and vendors accountable while building productive working relationships.
• Support the growth of field team members and maintain a strong working relationship with the client throughout the project.
