Job summary

Skillforce Inc. is seeking an experienced Storage Tank Welder to perform welding on storage tanks across Texas and Oklahoma, with travel to multiple sites and extended hours as required. You will weld SMAW and FCAW per project specs, read blueprints, prepare materials, and ensure quality and safety in accordance with OSHA and company policies.

Per diem is available; pay ranges from $35 to $40 per hour. Candidates should have at least 3 years of field welding experience in industrial construction

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field welding experience in industrial construction, structural steel, or storage tank construction.
• Ability to pass welding tests and certifications required for projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW, FCAW, as required by project specifications.
• Weld structural steel, storage tanks, piping, and miscellaneous metal components per approved procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication details.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, fitting, grinding, and aligning components.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and safety standards.
