Job summary

Capitol Dental Care is seeking a Traveling Sterilization & Clinical Support Technician to accompany an Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist (EPDH) to schools. You will help prepare each site, maintain sterilization standards, and ensure smooth patient flow in a mobile clinic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Travel with and support an EPDH delivering dental services at schools
  • Assist with transporting, setting up, breaking down, and organizing portable equipment and supplies
  • Prepare treatment areas and reset between patients
  • Disinfect, sterilize, and properly store instruments and equipment
  • Follow infection-control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety protocols
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow in the school program
  • Provide a welcoming experience for children receiving care
  • Coordinate with school personnel to support daily schedule
  • Monitor and maintain supplies and arrange equipment as needed

We are seeking a Traveling Sterilization & Clinical Support Technician to support our school-based dental program. In this unique role, you will travel with an Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist (EPDH) to schools throughout the community, helping provide accessible preventive dental care and treatment to children.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, being out in the community, and having a role where every day may look a little different. You will be an essential partner to the EPDH, helping prepare each school location for care,maintainsterilization and infection-control standards, support efficient patient flow, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel with and provide day-to-day support to an EPDH delivering dental services at schools and other community locations
  • Assistwith transporting, setting up, breaking down, and organizing portable dental equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Prepare treatment areas before students are seen and reset areas between patients
  • Clean, disinfect, package, sterilize, andproperly storedental instruments and equipment
  • Follow established infection-control, sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety protocols
  • Prepare instruments and supplies needed by the EPDH for scheduled treatments
  • Helpmaintainan efficient flow of students through the school-based dental program
  • Provide a welcoming, positive, and supportive experience for children receiving dental care
  • Assistwith organizing students and coordinating with school personnel as needed to support the day's schedule
  • Monitor andmaintainadequate levels of clinical and sterilization supplies
  • Maintain clean, organized portable equipment and treatment areas
  • Assistwith loading and unloading equipment and supplies at each location
  • Support documentation and other administrative activities associated with school-based services as appropriate
  • Communicate supply, equipment, scheduling, or operational needs to the EPDH and program leadership
  • Serve as a reliable partner to the EPDH and help troubleshoot day-to-day needs in a mobile clinical environment

  • Dental, healthcare, sterilization, or clinical support experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to school locationsrequired
