Job summary

Surgical Solutions is seeking full-time Traveling Technicians to support hospital implementations nationwide from the operating room to sterile processing. This role requires CRCST or CBSPD certification, and ongoing credentialing; 90% travel is common as teams deploy across sites.

Candidates should have OR/SPD experience, a high school diploma (GED) and be ready for continuous learning, onboarding, and collaboration with surgeons, nurses and hospital staff during launches.

Qualifications

• Previous OR/SPD experience required.
• High school diploma/GED; some college preferred.
• Outstanding customer service skills and ability to build rapport with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Travel across assigned territories to support new hospital accounts in both operating room and sterile processing departments.
• Execute the project plan for successful implementation of new accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital personnel, surgeons, nurses, and OR staff.
• Onboard and train new Technicians and re-train current staff as needed.
• Ensure high standards of decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of instruments.
• Maintain laparoscopic equipment, manage repairs, and replace instruments as needed.
• Keep surgeon preference cards up to date.
• Demonstrate professionalism with Surgical Solutions, hospital, and OR personnel.
• Maintain CRCST certification and comply with credentialing/training requirements.
• Lead daily operations and share best practices for integrating digital tools.

This is not a short-term contract role, this is a full-time position with a growing organization committed to supporting surgical teams nationwide.

Travel & Location Requirements

This is a high-travel position supporting hospital implementations across the country. To ensure seamless deployment, candidates must live within 45–60 minutes of a major airport with strong national flight access.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain CRCST certification and comply with all credentialing and training requirements.
• Lead by example in daily operations to support operational workflows. Share best practices to help teams integrate digital tools smoothly.

What We’re Looking For:

• CRCST or CBSPD certification required. If CBSPD certified, must obtain CRCST certification within 120 days of employment.
• Previous OR/SPD experience required.
• High school diploma/GED required, some college preferred.
• Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with healthcare teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs.
• Flexibility for 24/7 hospital coverage including weekday, weekend, holiday rotations, and on-call shifts.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
