Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of STON Building Group, seeks a hands-on traveling Senior MEP Superintendent to lead field operations on mission critical projects in the Southeast. You will direct mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, coordinating subcontractors and trades to meet drawings, specs, budget, and schedule.

You will resolve field issues, provide technical guidance on complex MEP systems, enforce safety, and coordinate turnover activities for successful project completion.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction supervisory experience with a strong MEP background.
• Leading MEP field work on data center projects through construction and turnover.
• Willingness to travel and stay near project sites for extended assignments in the Southeast.
• Experience with a commercial general contractor or MEP subcontractor preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and safety requirements.
• Ability to lead subcontractors and communicate effectively with teams and clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily MEP field operations, including subcontractors, manpower, and materials.
• Oversee MEP work to ensure alignment with drawings, specs, budget, and schedule.
• Interpret documents, resolve field issues, and guide complex MEP installations.
• Coordinate MEP with other trades, management, clients, and inspectors on mission critical sites.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and address issues impacting milestones.
• Enforce safety requirements and coordinate corrective actions with Safety leadership.
• Oversee MEP layout, field engineering, and coordination activities.
• Review field documentation, purchase requisitions, and change requests.
• Support project procedures, reporting, and turnover activities.
