Position Description
Develop schedules for large or multiple smaller construction projects with more complex scheduling activities. Revise and review project schedule with project team and monitor and track progress against a defined schedule.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Develop thorough understanding of work breakdown structure for large or multiple smaller construction projects with complex scheduling activities.
- Reference 'Scheduling Playbook' to understand and adhere to company and scheduling policies, practices, procedures, and activities.
- Develop relationships with project stakeholders to communicate overall project plan and promote the value of scheduling.
- Collaborate with project team (e.g., Engineer and Superintendent) to confirm Contract Item List (CIL), develop Required On Job (ROJ) dates, and review Procurement Schedule to track subcontractor commitments.
- Collaborate with project team to develop a schedule based on CPM logic-generated baseline schedules using scheduling software.
- Review and recommend decisions related to performance of work regarding scheduling, delivery, logistics, and trade staffing levels.
- Study schedule deliverables prior to publication or distribution; ask challenging questions to enhance accuracy.
- Collaborate with project departments (e.g., Preconstruction, Commissioning, Procurement, Construction) to prepare detailed schedules.
- Engage with Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to align and coordinate schedules and models.
- Define schedule metrics and monitor critical path activities to achieve projected forecasted end‑date.
- Contribute information required to update the project schedule dashboard.
- Create target comparison models and look‑ahead schedules to provide progress updates, present findings, explain risks, and develop recovery strategies to support schedule adherence.
- Challenge project team based on current and future schedule data for As‑Built vs. Planned progress.
- Review Pull Plan and revise schedule accordingly; incorporate the Last Planner System into the schedule.
- Collaborate with project team to identify events and change orders that impact the schedule and develop time‑impact analysis.
- Conduct site progress walks to capture scheduling progress data.
- Generate scheduling reports and summaries for client requests or needs; provide monthly scheduling progress for Operations Review Meetings (ORMs) or other project review sessions.
- Provide support and guidance to project end‑users to develop proficiency in using scheduling software.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing teams to develop and prepare proposal scheduling activities and related materials.
- Develop and update cost and/or resource‑loaded schedules as requested.
- Apply continuous improvement methodology to daily tasks and activities to improve scheduling operations.
- Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of related experience, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Large construction project experience (>$50M).
- Experience in construction positions such as Field Engineer, Assistant Superintendent, or related role.
- Proficient use of scheduling software applications (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6).
- Knowledge of scheduling comparison tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse, Change Inspector).
- Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.
- Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop a project schedule.
- Knowledge of estimating to support project schedule development.
- Familiarity with earned value concepts and use of construction resources to validate productivity and durations.
- Ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Process and analytical skills to make decisions.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to quickly understand requirements.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrates professional interpersonal skills to develop relationships with project team members and stakeholders to acquire information and discern impact on schedule.
Salary Range and Benefits
The salary range for this position is estimated to be $120,000.00 – $217,000.00 annualized.

Physical Demands
Required duties include the ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction hoists, climb ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction. The employee frequently sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, uses hands to handle or feel objects, and reaches with hands. The employee often works at construction sites and may travel short or long distances. The employee may lift or move up to 10 pounds routinely and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment
The work environment includes construction sites where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, and varying weather conditions. The noise level is moderate to loud. The job occasionally involves office or remote settings with quieter noise levels. The employee is required to comply with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
