Job summary

DEPCOM Power is hiring Safety Specialists for positions across the U.S. with about 95% travel, located at construction sites in Texas. You will help foster an EH&S culture, participate in safety standards, and learn OSHA rules and policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with training, enforcing safety policies, conducting site inspections, investigating incidents, and supporting risk assessments and PPE reviews. OSHA 30 construction, First Aid/AED, and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in field safety with site safety programs, hazard assessments, and incident response.
• OSHA 30 construction certification is required.
• First aid and AED certification are required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with facilitating Safety & Health training for employees and contractors.
• Support planning and implementation of safety policies in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and regulations.
• Stay current on internal EHS standards and relevant laws.
• Aid incident investigations and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrences.
• Foster an collaborative EHS environment across the site.
• Conduct walk-through inspections to identify hazards and unsafe acts.
• Assist with risk assessments, JHA reviews, and PPE assessments.
• Provide care for onsite injuries within standard of care.
